The Life of a Freelance Writer
The world of freelancing is an industry many desire to be part of. Day dreaming of the day when you can quit your 9-5 job and do it on your own. But many aren’t quite sure what is involved when you’re your own boss.
I get asked the question of what I do on a day to day a lot, and whilst most might think I am binge watching Netflix all day and living a glamorous life style, the reality is a little different.
Make your first impression count
When producing a CV, you need to be presenting your core and marketable skills. Display your experiences and qualifications in a way that will engage a recruiter. Attracting them to want to know more.
The CV is the first stage in the recruitment process, if you aren’t highlight the right strengths or you’re not structuring your CV in a clear and concise manner it could also be the last stage of the recruitment process.
Becoming employee of the month in one day
You passed the gruelling interview process, your CV impressed the hiring manager and you got the job! If you’re anything like me, you celebrating the news with a few glasses of wine and now you’re like a child who’s excited for the first day of school (or work in this case) to begin.
Tell them you’re the best without being so direct
Unless you’re the type of person who loves telling everyone how amazing you are and generally just declaring you’re the best several times a day, then presumably you find the thought of “selling yourself” in an interview a daunting prospect.
